My love for photography traces its roots back to early childhood when I first experimented with Polaroid and disposable film cameras from brands like Kodak and Fujifilm. Even today, I hold onto countless prints from those simpler times, each one a cherished reminder of the wonderful moments spent with loved ones. Most notably, I fondly recall capturing the spirited antics of my childhood dogs with those disposable cameras. It was during those years that I first began dreaming of becoming a professional photographer, a dream that would eventually become a reality in ways I could never have imagined.

A little over two decades ago, I took the plunge and invested in my very first professional-grade digital camera and equipment to pursue my passion. Since then, my photographic journey has encompassed landscapes, wildlife, fine art, and portraiture. I even established my own portrait studio in the heart of downtown Coeur d’Alene. However, as time passed, I found myself drawn to the allure of capturing images in the great outdoors, bathed in the natural light and surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Idaho's diverse landscapes. Consequently, I made the difficult decision to close my studio and put my photography business on hold while I searched for a way to seamlessly integrate both worlds.

As fate would have it, in January of 2020, our beloved Luna, a Lagotto Romagnolo and a certified truffle-hunting dog, became a cherished member of our family. Her presence brought immeasurable joy to our lives, rekindling memories of the dogs from my childhood.

It was then that I had a revelation - professional pet photography was the perfect avenue for me to continue my lifelong creative passion. Armed with my own skills and experience, bolstered by training from a seasoned veteran with two decades in pet photography, I now specialize in crafting timeless heirlooms for individuals and their pets. These images are born in the embrace of natural outdoor lighting and set against the backdrop of Idaho's scenic wonders. For me, this harmonious blend of artistry and love for animals is the epitome of fulfillment.

In this ever-evolving journey, I am reminded of the timeless wisdom that while we may plan our ways, it is ultimately God that directs our paths.
